What's New at UDoJ?
I'll be posting a link to this post in the "Permant Post Links" section of the sidebar.
Dream a little dream of Me.
Ok, just posted a link to Harrods Ladies department in the "clothes" section of links on the sidebar.
How I managed to forget THAT I'll never know.
Also put up the link to this thread on the sidebar.
Ok, the blog was starting to act persnickity, so I changed the settings to only show the last 10 posts on the front page and that seems to have fixed it.
For older posts, see the archives.
Well unfortunately, I felt it was necessary to turn on comment moderation.
It seems James Wynne and his little band of manly men deemed it important to spam my blog because I banned James for being rude and insulting.
I'm NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR PETTY FLAME WAR!
My apologies to everyone else.
Site Meter installed on the homepage. I had some trouble, but it turns out that Blogger wasn't playing well at all today.
All better.
Let the counting begin.
Updated the blogroll to remove UD and add AtBC.
I'm not linking where I'm not allowed to comment.
Expunged more UD and Dr. Dembski from the blog.
Note the "missing link" in the ID Books section of the sidebar, and the changed quote at the bottom of the page.
Made a small change to my profile. It's only showing up here intermittantly, though. Might take some time to update on my blog.
If you click on the "view my complete profile" link, it'll show up.
I see all the template changes are flicking in and out. I guess they'll all update eventually.
Well now stuff's here then gone... whatever. I'm working on it!
test.
yeah, I know, I'm s'posed to be doin' science.
But this dumb white comment page bothers me. Why can't I match it to the rest of the blog?
I haven't gotten rid of it totally, but I did fix it to where if you click on the "6 comments" (or however many) link on the front page, it at least takes you to the matching html page with the comments on it. Then, if you want to post a comment, it'll take you to the ugly page.
Not only is it ugly, but I think some visitors were missing the rest of the posts.
For those of you who don't quite get what you need from what I write, I added a literotica link to the literature section of the sidebar links.
I've also opened up comments to everyone, INCLUDING THOSE WITHOUT BLOGGER ACCOUNTS, and turned off the moderation. If you don't have a blogger account, your post will show up as being from Anonymous. Kindly sign with some sort of handle so I know who I'm talking to.
Please don't make me turn the moderation back on.
Thanks.
Switched the front page format from the last 10 posts to the last 10 days. We're posting about 4 a day, and things were just falling off the front page too quickly.
Last time I tried this setting, I had issues. Let's see how this goes.
Reinstated the UD link on the blog roll on a provisional basis. If I am in fact not banned there, it will remain.
I'm a little busy, and haven't had time to double check, but I'm taking Dave at his word until I have reason not to.
Changed my little icon thingy to John Collier's 1892 painting of Lilith.
Added Blipey's, Zachriel's, and RogueHistorian's blogs to the blogroll.
New colors. What do you think? Love 'em or Hate 'em?
testing something new
I changed the layout today. We've gone from two columns to three, to make use of some of that unclaimed real estate, and to shorten the right sidebar a bit. The recent comments tend to really stretch that out when there's a hot topic.
I'm really groovin' to the new look.
I also cleaned up a ton of the code. It looked like it was written by an infinite number of monkeys.
A lot of it was tags that were supposed to be nested, but were randomly thrown every which way. That was causing some loading issues, and it was hard to read the code. I've eliminated a bunch of those problems, and at this point I felt the template was unique enough to put my own name on it.
Suggestions are welcome.

AJ from NY sent us a graphic for a banner. While I could never give up the banner we have now because of all the meaning in it, I liked AJ's a lot, so I've added it at the bottom of all the blog pages as a clickable "home" link.
Thank you, AJ.

Moved the profile from the right sidebar to the left sidebar.
Seems like it goes better with the other stuff there, and that leaves just the previous posts, recent comments, and archives on the right sidebar.
Kate's suggestion.
Kisses to Kate -
Swapped AJ's banner with mine and added his sidebar caps.
Changed the recent comments code
Implemented code to allow smilies in the comments. Works fine in firefox, no love from IE.
Added Kate's profile to the left sidebar.... how's it look?
Well, we've done a bunch of stuff here since we last updated this thread...
Lessee....
We put The Boy's profile up there, since y'all know about him now...
We've added a handful of new folks to our list of profile pics, like Kristine, PiGuy, Breakerslion, Rich Hughs, and AJ.
There were a couple that won't work because they're on the new blogger beta, like Rick and Gary, and Dave Carlson.
We just cleaned up the left sidebar a bit, sorting out the blogroll and adding some new friends, like PiGuy and Reverend Big Dumb Chimp.
OH YEAH!
We have a YouTube Channel! Click the pic at the top of the right sidebar!
Oratory is now open to everyone. PLEASE don't make me moderate it. Also, be kind enough to sign your orations.
