Just to verify, I just posted at AtBC

Yes, that was us. One post to verify we are who we say we are.

Move on with your lives, now boys and get back to comedy. You suck at detective stories.

Well, if it's any consolation, Janie, *I* never doubted you. :-)

It is you, Arden!!!

On 7/21/2006 07:03:00 AM, Blogger JanieBelle waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

Hmmm.... Arden, I seem to recall an insuation about Steve Story...

I'm sure Janie will be forgiving, though, she's good like that.

Welcome to the blog.

Alan,

Actually we're you. You know those blackouts you've been having...

Seriously, though. That stuff is getting old, and I'm sure Janie would really rather it didn't start leaking onto this blog.

She might put up with an occasional joke about it, she's a good sport, but don't make a habit of it. She's cute when she's mad, but I'd rather she wasn't mad.

Hi Kat! Nice blog you have here. The color scheme is a little dark, but it's better than the red-and-white checked tablecloth theme.

On 7/21/2006 08:14:00 AM, Blogger JanieBelle waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

Well thanks, Tom.

But the blog actually belongs to JanieBelle.

We post and comment under the same account because we share one laptop and changing accounts isn't really worth the effort.

It's just easier to sign our comments.

Plus, I have a privacy issue that needs to be resolved. There's at least one other person visiting our blog from Jacksonville, which is where we are, and we don't know who that is, so I'm keeping a very low profile.

We're batting around the idea of a lighter color scheme, but her Lilith av really looks good on black, and we haven't really found anything we like in a lighter shade.

Maybe when our connection issue gets worked out, we'll have better luck.

Thanks for visiting the blog, though.

And let me just say this:

Whoever you are in Jacksonville, you're spending an aweful lot of time browsing here, for someone who doesn't comment.

It would be nice if you at least told us who you are and said "hello".

I'm not sure if you can edit the HTML on a blogspot template, but if it is allowed perhaps you could change the background color hex code. D7D7D7 or C0C0C0 or similar. (light grey and silver respectively.)

On 7/21/2006 09:42:00 AM, Blogger JanieBelle waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

We can edit it. Give me a minute blipey and I'll see how we like it.

I'm just a little scared the connection will drop out again right in the middle of the update.

What the heck, I'm going for it.

Tell me what you think.

Hmmm. It's a three digit number. I'm looking now to see if I can just put "gray" or "silver" in there.

Working on the template colors... please be patient.

On 7/21/2006 10:32:00 AM, Blogger blipey waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

Who suggested your color scheme!!! He's a jackass. Lillith looks waaayy better in black.

Though my bolding looks nice now.

On 7/21/2006 10:34:00 AM, Blogger JanieBelle waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

Agreed on all three points.

:)

Suggestions would be helpful...

On 7/21/2006 10:41:00 AM, Blogger blipey waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

Maybe a charcoal or really dark grey background? Might keep the style of your original a little better while allowing a readable font color.

I don't know...I like black, my website is all black background except for the booking form page (readability of the form...)

On 7/21/2006 10:57:00 AM, Blogger blipey waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

Geez, stop listening to the jackass. I can have him killed, if you want.

On 7/21/2006 11:00:00 AM, Blogger blipey waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

Actually, it would be better if the comments were in that light grey and the links were in white. The white is a little hard to focus on for any length of time.

On 7/21/2006 11:11:00 AM, Blogger JanieBelle waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

How 'bout now?

On 7/21/2006 11:17:00 AM, Blogger JanieBelle waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

Lilith still looks better in black, but this isn't quite so bad...

On 7/21/2006 11:18:00 AM, Blogger JanieBelle waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

You look good, though.

On 7/21/2006 11:21:00 AM, Blogger JanieBelle waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

The link hover color looks good on the charcoal...

Yeah, reminds me of BBQ. Delicious, slow BBQed pork ribs, with a paprika and peppercorn rub, and a lightly molasses-y sauce. Mmmmmmmm.

On 7/21/2006 11:57:00 AM, Blogger JanieBelle waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

I hear they do that good out your way...

I'm still tweaking, so keep suggesting.

On 7/21/2006 12:09:00 PM, Blogger blipey waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

Alright.

Put a cedar plank off the coals and lay a 1 1/2 inch thick salmon steak on it (skin on). Cook to a nice medium and enjoy. Excellent with a nice mango-pineapple salsa.

On 7/21/2006 12:35:00 PM, Blogger JanieBelle waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

Cute, we'll try that.

In the meantime, tell me about the colors of this blog...

On 7/21/2006 01:25:00 PM, Blogger blipey waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

They're mellow. Fairly easy to read, I don't know how much shading control you have over fonts, but something ever so slightly darker than that light grey might be nicer.

Of course, see above suggestion history, and slap the clown.

On 7/21/2006 01:29:00 PM, Blogger JanieBelle waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

I have absolute control now, I am the goddess of the blog thing.

Just for you, give me a sec and I'll tone the gray font down just a hair.

Kisses.

How's that?

Oh, I was saying hello to JB: for some reason I thought her nickname was "Kat". But hello to you too, Kate-with-an-e!

Colors are much improved, BTW.

Thank you, you're forgiven Move your cursor over the picture for a secret message. - JB and K

Glad you like 'em Tom. Blipey's idea, really. Other folks had asked about white with black text, but it was hideous looking.

We like this better than that, but I think I still like the black better.

Maybe it'll grow on me.

Of course, fungus will grow on ya' if ya' let it, that doesn't make it a good thing....

The colours are nice. But the roses in the title picture kind of obscure the name, for example the e at the end of janie. This makes it a bit harder to read. And the flags, are they supposed to be signal flags? I cant find them in a sailing manual. It might be cool if they were signalling flags, I might suggest one or two.

Hi guthrie.

The roses were overlaid on purpose, I'll see what I can do.

The flags are two hurricane flags, for "Hurricane Jane" which is how Kate refers to my "rude raving bitch rants"

Sorry this is a quicky.

Kisses
JanieBelle and Kate

On 7/22/2006 05:44:00 PM, Blogger JanieBelle waxed damned near poetic whilst opining...

Oh, they're a little hard to see.

They are indeed signal flags. Each is a red field with a black square in the center.

That's the hurricane signal. You'll see them here on the beaches and such when a hurricane blows in.

Kisses,
JanieBelle and Kate
