What I meant over at AtBC was some photographic verification that you are in fact 17 and are really where you say you are. Of course, that kind of evidence is pretty sketchy over the Web.

Well, whatever. I just finished reading the whole polygamy/spirituality thread here and at UD. It was great entertainment. You had really good questions and challenges that tribute7 effectively ducked. In fact, most of the UD regulars like to duck tough challenges. It's fun to see them squirm.

Yes, there's a reason for the mystery which doesn't involve some Elvis conspiracy. Several, in fact.
Kate is still a Marine, for one. She gets busted being with a girl, it's a big deal.
Freako Stalkers, for another. We've still been getting hate mail, though it's slowed down quite a bit. Threats have been made. Truthfully, they were coming from your side of the aisle at first, almost exclusively. It's pretty much 50/50 at this point.
I guess you know you're doing something right when you piss off EVERYBODY. I'm joking, of course, but we've obviously said something that got noticed. That's better than blathering on and on, and never really saying anything.
I promised my Dad that I would protect my anonymity, for another. He's a long way away, and he worries. It's in the job description.
So the long and the short of it is that you've gotten all the photographic evidence you're going to get.

My side of the aisle meaning the science, evolution, liberal, freethinker types? I am dismayed, since personally I don't have a problem with you and Cpl. Kate being an "item."
My skepticism arises from your intelligent and witty writing style, and insistence that people actually address your comments rather than quote Scripture. I have taught high school for 20+ years, and finding such intellectual maturity in a 17-year-old is pretty rare. Such people do exist, so until there is evidence to the contrary I'll accept your self-described identity as the truth.
And yeah, I'll comment, but I've been occupied with other things for now.

Threats have been made. Truthfully, they were coming from your side of the aisle at first, almost exclusively. It's pretty much all coming from religious people now.
I think at first the hatemail came from people who misunderstood my position. Not that that excuses the crap I was getting, because it most certainly does not.
I may have been unclear, but in the beginning of this little blog, just a few short weeks ago, I hadn't really looked into ID or evolution. I simply felt that everyone should get their say.
My position is somewhat different at this point. Right now, and let me just say I'm no biologist so my opinion is worth squat really, but right now I'm getting a weird vibe from the ID crowd. I've been unable to pin most of them down on exactly what their position is. That's certainly not true across the board, but something smells a little fishy to me when Dr. Demski refuses to talk about science, shuts down dissent, and hires a religious "journalist" to write his blog.
Indeed, something is quite rotten in Denmark.
However, I still feel like I need to understand both sides of this issue before I can form an informed opinion, if that makes any sense.
I'm not really sure why anyone but Kate or I cares what I think. But apparently there are several hundred people who do.
Anyways, thanks for your contributions, and your thoughts.
If I write halfway decently, it's because I read voraciously. At least I did until I started this little blog.
